Clinical Trial Goal
To find out if DISC-3405 is safe and works well to treat polycythemia vera
You may be able to join this trial if you:
- Are 18 years old or older
- Have polycythemia vera
- Have had one of the following:
- 3 or more phlebotomies (removal of blood) in the last 6.5 months
- 5 or more phlebotomies in the last years
- Have not had a blood clot within the last 2 months
- Have not had significant bleeding in the last 6 months
- Have not been treated with any of the following in the last 7 months:
- Busulfan
- Pipobroman
- Phosphorus-32
- Agree to have other standard tests done to see if you can be in the clinical trial
Trial Details
DISC-3405 is a monoclonal antibody that targets TMPRSS6 on certain cells.
You’ll get:

- DISC-3405 – Given as a shot under your skin. The dose you'll get depends on when you start the trial and how safe it has been
You may continue treatment for as long as the clinical trial doctors think it’s best for your health. You'll have biopsies and/or blood draws to see how well the treatment is working. The clinical trial doctors will check your health for up to 1 year.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet approved DISC-3405.
