NCT03541889

Clinical Trial Goal

To find out if FLT imaging after haploidentical BMT or UCBT is safe and works well to check for engraftment in children and adults

You may be able to join this trial if you:

  • Are 4–80 years old
  • Have a disease for which BMT is standard care
  • Plan to have or have had a BMT using cord blood or haploidentical donor
  • Agree to have other standard tests done to see if you can be in the clinical trial

Trial Details

FLT imaging is a way to see where leukemia exists in the body and how it's responding to treatment.

Before transplant, you’ll get standard treatment to prepare your body for transplant.

The day before your transplant, you’ll get FLT, imaging given as a single intravenous (IV) infusion. Then you'll have a PET scan.

On transplant day, the blood-forming cells from your donor are given to you through an IV infusion.

After transplant, FLT imaging will be done again to see if bone marrow cells are growing well. Blood samples will also be taken.

The clinical trial doctors will check your health for up to 1 month.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet approved FLT imaging.
