Clinical Trial Goal


To find out:
  • The highest dose of venetoclax that's safe to give in combination with other standard treatments
  • If the combination of venetoclax and other standard treatments is safe and works well to treat multiple myeloma

You may be able to join this trial if you:


  • Are 18 years old or older
  • Have multiple myeloma
  • Agree to have other standard tests done to see if you can be in the clinical trial 

Trial Details


Daratumumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets CD38 on certain cells.
Dexamethasone is a drug that reduces inflammation. 
Lenalidomide is a drug that blocks growth of cancer cells.
Venetoclax is a small molecule inhibitor that blocks BCL2 in certain cells.

In this trial, you’ll be placed in 1 of 3 groups:
  • Group 1Venetoclax plus daratumumab and dexamethasone
  • Group 2 –  Venetoclax plus dexamethasone and lenalidomide
  • Group 3 - Venetoclax plus daratumumab, dexamethasone and lenalidomide 

You’ll get treatment in cycles that last 1 month. In each cycle, you'll get:
  • Daratumumab - Groups 1 and 3 only – Given as a shot under your skin up to 4 times
  • Dexamethasone - A pill that you take by mouth 1 time each week
  • Lenalidomide - Groups 2 and 3 only - A pill that you take by mouth 1 time each day for 3 weeks
  • Venetoclax - A pill that you take by mouth 1 time each day. The dose you'll get depends on when you start the trial and how safe it has been

You may continue treatment for up to 3 years. You'll have biopsies to see how well the treatment is working. The clinical trial doctors will check your health for up to 3 years.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved all of the drugs used in this trial for the treatment of multiple myeloma.
